Ive said it on here before and i'll say it again. Jacqui Smith and her cronies are far right extremists. You cannot go around banning people or Web sites because you disagree with what they say. We are supposed to be a democracy in the UK. Why the Labour party are relying on this Nazi Ideology of simply removing anything that stands in their way is beyond me. It didn't work in the 40's it's certainly not working in China and it wont work here now. I don't know if I believe any of this or not but if they were to start watching what people are doing it might not be such a bad idea.
We have censorship on TV and radio and we all accept that and from what I understand about this idea is that terrorists,thieves and paedophiles would be the main target anyway.
I don't mind too much if it stops some perv from grooming our kids or some scum bag from emptying our bank accounts..
It is always a few that spoil things for us all
people are brainwashed into believing its for their own good. they say if it saves us from terroristss its ok. if it saves one child its ok, if ive got nothing to hide its ok. not true at all. it is not ok. their freedom is being eroded so slowly they dont notice.

I hate censorship. The BBFC are a pack of idiots. They watch the films we are not allowed see because we 'can't handle it' Yet they watch them every day. Every single day. I say lets kill them before they go crazy murdering and raping people while on crack cocaine since they are the ones that claim these films cause all of this.
I don't think its going to come to that...
The government say alot...but do little...so remember that.
People aren't worried because it hasn't happened yet or there are no OFFICIAL planning....
So why worry...if nothing has been in placed ?
If people didn't use it for illegal reasons, there would be no need and the government wouldn't be doing it. If it saves one child from further abuse or saves on terrorist attack, I am right behind the government restrictions.

what will it take for people to use the internet for its purpose instead of scams, viruses, child pornography, posting nude pictures, learning how to make bombs and so on? i fully support the government watching what we do on the internet. if people weren't so evil and crazy they wouldn't have to so i wouldn't blame it on the government. i don't participate in those sorts of things so i couldn't care less if they watch me. and people say oh its my freedom of speech and blah blah blah, well news flash people just because you can say whatever you want doesn't mean you should. get over it.
Don't you understand, it鈥檚 for our own good?
It's not us they want to stop viewing certain stuff, it's the terrorists. They need the power to be able to restrict what can and cannot be seen for national security reasons. These terrorists are very savvy now and really well funded, they use computers to communicate you know!
In that the measures needed to restrict their communications might affect some innocent people鈥檚 ability to view innocent material which might, by sheer coincidence prove ';embarrassing'; to the government, well that's the price we have to pay for the freedoms we enjoy!
Don't you see, the government are only trying to protect us from ourselves?
What if we were to read something about our government on a website that made us really angry?
Why that might inspire us to organize, it might radicalize some folks, they might protest, be civilly disobedient and that could turn violent.
Well there you have it violence = lawlessness = terrorism!
The government don鈥檛 want to go getting the public all upset, so some things its better that you don't see!
Now as for snooping on our emails, texts and phone calls, nobody鈥檚 interested if you鈥檙e having an extramarital affair and have been, billing and cooing with your lover on a spare cell phone, why would the government bother if they read all about your love life in your emails or texts?
If you've nothing to hide - you've nothing to fear!
No the government need to be able to know everything you are doing and saying for national security reasons.

The whole Second World War could have been avoided had Adolph Hitler had access to today鈥檚 wonderful new technology.
He could have created a super database at the University of Munich's theology department Listing every Jews name and address for mailshots. (To increase interfaith understanding and defuse the tensions before things got out of hand)
He could have made another for homosexuals to ensure there was social inclusion and quell any feelings of persecution they may have had.
Honestly I shall never understand you people and your conspiracy theories, why on earth would you even consider that a government (That we elected by the way) would have anything other than our best interests at heart?

Well they can do what they like ,if the want to shut up my political views,tough they do not control my mind there were avenues before the web, freedom of speech:? that has been legislated against well tough again they do not control my mind.
I would love them to come a calling,trouble is I do not break the law ,if my views are not of theirs well tough I do think the majority of people agree with most of my views on many things not all but most.
