Under this first national alerting system in the event of a Soviet attack on the United States, all commercial radio stations would cease normal operation, in order to prevent Soviet bombers from homing in on their targets by using specific radio commercial radio stations as navigation beacons. Instead, selected CONELRAD stations would broadcast on either 604kHz or 1240kHz to inform the public about emergency measures. As part of the system it was obligatory for all radios sold after 1953 to have the CONELRAD frequencies 640/1240 kHz marked with small triangles on the dial. The triangles were referred to as CD marks, for Civil Defense. The marks on the radio dial were to make finding the frequencies easy. This requirement was dropped, when the CONELRAD system was replaced by the Emergency Broadcast System in 1963. By the early 1960's the development of Soviet missiles had made the CONELRAD system obsolete.

I read a 'reminder' e-mail about this bill just a 1/2 hour ago, as I did know of it's proposal some time ago, and then I was stunned that a ';Republican'; Senator, would create such a bill, attempting to give more absolute control of Individual Freedom of we the people to an obvious Socialist hater of citizens rights! But now, as I had re-discovered the bill, I am aware that Olympia Snowe, (R) co-author of it, is a RINO (Republican in name ONLY, and the Liberal State of Maine is FINE with that, for the most part, or just filled with stupid Liberals who can't tell the difference in political party ideologies. The latter is true, for they are not liberals but Socialists, a 200 year old Merriam-Webster dictionary definition says so, as well as their actions.


I believe Obama, and the Socialists in office, yet calling themselves Liberals is to convince the stupid they love Freedom, and America, even while their actions as Representatives show the opposite of Liberty of the American people, by their Socialist policies, each in some way attempting to violate our Constitution by adding powers to the Gov., over those of the People, and HAVE BEEN plotting the over-throw of America, using the fooled, never-thinking 'Liberal' robots they created in the Vietnam era, which has spread wildly to put Freedom, and American citizens power over government status in jeopardy today.





The bill has been re-vised, so says the RINO, and the Lib committee previously examining the treacherous plot to shut down the Internet, from the Private-sector (you, me, and the rest of the citizens of non-gov, or corporative businesses, in short, REGULAR folk) in order to over-throw the country, taking absolute power of America, by insuring the majority are incapable of grouping, and assessing what is occuring, he having proclaimed a false cyber-threat, and I perceive as reasonably likely, considering Obama's/elite Lib gov. actions since BO took office, to ignore the peoples wants, create false conspiracies on Conservative citizens, and talk show radio hosts, and recently to force a potentially deadly swine flu vaccine on even the most succeptible to death by it, our children, since this very vaccine killed 1/2 a million Americans, children included, in 1976, for it was 'accidently' contaminated by it's creators and processors with another powerful flu virus,. BO's administration was caught sending letters back and forth, to the Health protection committee, about the dangers of this vaccine, but never meant to be revealed to the public. Ha ha, but two were discovered, and leaked, so now, more REASON to NOT believe this LIARS words about his UHC program, which he is still shockingly promising to pass when 60% of Americans DON'T want f/ing rationed 2nd class healthcare! Nor the loss of our freedom to choose what medical procedures are right for our own bodies, and lives!





Please vote the RiNO's OUT, like Snowe, for she is no lover of Liberty, but a LIAR for her whole politcal life, by calling herself a Republican, when she almost never has voted with her party! She was the deciding vote in the Senate to keep Bill Clinton in office, against every member of her party in the Senate, after the House had impeached the disrepectful to women, and abuser of power scoundrel that Clinton still is to this day.





I am certain, that if BO were given the power to disrupt, and stop the communication of the common citizen, he would at some point, use that power, inventing a false ';cyber-emergency';, keeping us contained, and silent, having almost no communication abilities (this bill also includes telecommunications, PHONES, not just Internet, and pc) with the outside world, then suddenly, a hard knock at your door, Americorps (Obama's National Civilian Security force, just as powerful, just as strong, and just as well-funded, as our Military %26lt;---quoting him here) is demanding you come with them to an undisclosed location, perhaps a FEMA camp, since you refused his vaccine? Forced quarintine of citizens who refuse the vaccine, is a power over us the Gov has threatened us with already, or jail time, or a fine of a $1000 a day, or all. No one in Gov. or the vaccinators are required to receive the shot, just us guinea pigs for government, the LIBERALS elected, AND the LOSS of the control of our bodies, our freedom to decide what medical proceders we feel we need, and want. That's full absolute DEATH of our personal Freedom. Once we no longer are allowed to choose the health or non-health of OUR own bodies, we are slaves, and even drones to be experiemented on, for we will have no control over our own life or death, we will belong to Government. Like a steppford wife. STUPID, BRAINLESS ';';';';';Liberals!';';';';';'; SOCIALISTS.
