Bill would let Obama Control the internet?

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-103200鈥?/a>

I believe this is communism in action. When the Iranian dictatorship censored the online media, it was horrible. Now Obama wants to do it, so It's ok, since he's ';protecting'; us from some so-called ';cybersecurity emergency.';

Have you ever witnessed a ';cyber-attack';? didn't think so. How do you know that this bill would not provide more unchecked power to the the already power-abusing white house?

As John Dalberg-Acton said, ';Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely'; This is true of both Democrats and Republicans alike who have an overabundance of power.

I don't care what the ';final bill'; looks like, it is still giving the government absolute control over the online media. There is another, more correct name for that: STATE RUN MEDIA.Bill would let Obama Control the internet?
You are right.. this would be communism in action. If this bill passes.. then say goodbye to all of our freedoms.

I have no doubt Obama would like this.. it would give him even more control.. this communist in the white house is very dangerous.. we must all work toward getting him out of there as soon as possible.

I am happy to have a democrat in power.. but no a communist!Bill would let Obama Control the internet?
Obama saw what happened when regular Americans read the fine print of his ';health reform'; - it stinks! That's why he wanted to rush it through before we found out how bad it was. Now he thinks he can prevent the truth getting to us in other matters, thru him taking control of the internet.
Has the bill passed?
Please put away your false hysteria.

All Presidents have ALWAYS HAD authority to declare martial law, if the situation required it. The bill is giving nothing that wasn't already there.

He will tax it. This way people will hve to go out to bars.
I have seen cyber attacks. If there was a big enough cyber attack, it would be disastrous. This is emergency power, not ';every day'; power. Besides, it's just a bill. People can write a bill about anything. Doesn't mean it will pass.
