Use the internet content advisor.
Click Tools, goto ';Internet Options';
Then click on the ';Content'; tab and ';Enable'; content advisor. Then you set restrictions and content restrictions here. That way you can block un-safe websites for your child.
http://www.zonealarm.com is an internet security suite that does this also. It's a lot more user friendly with the parental controls and can not be disabled without a password. The content advisor also uses a password but will not provide additional security features like spyware and antivirus.
On that note, let your child surf but not on an Administrative user account. Create a limited USER for the kids to use or you will be regretting their use in a month or two when viruses have free reign on your computer because admin accounts have privileges to resources of your PC that control the PC.
