What i require to control an embedded system connected to internet somewhere from my home pc?

Can i do this with a lan card and microcontroller with tcp/ip installed?what other things i should know?without rtos can i do this?what about siteplayer? What i require to control an embedded system connected to internet somewhere from my home pc?
as an MCSE i have no idea what your talking about but it does sound like you want to connect to other computers from your computer

on the computer you want to access go to start and right click on my computer. go to the remote tab and select allow users to connect remotely to this computer

to acces that computer make sure you write down its ip address

go back to your pc and go to start run and type mstsc

type in the ip address you want to connect to and your good!
