ok the reason im asking this is because if it is possible i would like to be able to use my wireless router to connect to a dial up connection via a remote desktop and a older desktop by controlling the desktop down in my basement to so that i can browse the web wirelssly at my house without any phone cables. if u understood any of this pls help and need detaild instructions if u know howIs it possible to control a computer with just a network connection and no internet.?
Ok I think you are trying to remote into a computer that has a internet connection by using your network. This is possible with Microsoft remote desktop that can be found in the accessories menu in the start menu. an internet connection is not necessary to remote into another computer.
BTW I think it is more practice that if you have a network in place attach your internet connection to the network
