Lost Internet Options in Control panel?

When I open the Control Panel and double-click the Internet Options icon nothing happens. I tried to open it in Safe Mode but nothingLost Internet Options in Control panel?
You can also get to it through Internet Explorer, via the Tools menu. Does that not work either? You can also try clicking Start %26gt; Run, paste the following: inetcpl.cpl

Then click OK. Either way it sounds like you need to reinstall IE:

I don't no why it won't open in Control Panel. Try right clicking the Internet Explorer E on the desktop or start menu then click properties. That will give you the Internet options menu box you are looking for.

Good luck I hope this helps some
I can't imagine it's really gone, but you can access the same thing through internet explorer itself. Just click ';Tools'; and then ';Internet Options';
If you haven't been fiddling with windows internal programs it might be a virus or spyware that is causing the internet options box not to display.

Otherwise, I'd try re-installing Internet Explorer. You can either download the latest version (IE7) or try going to add/remove programs in Control Panel, then select Windows Components on the left hand menu, wait for them to load, then uncheck internet explorer. Next restart windows and after its booted up again, go back to the add/remove windows components section and this time tick the box next to internet explorer. This will effectively re-install it.
You can also access Internet Options from Intrnet Explorer by clicking on Tools
Try opening it from your browser, if it still doesn't work then reinstall IE, Firefox or what ever browser you use.
