If you want to make sure you have the most current Flash player, go to the *official* site:

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/鈥?/a>

If, after that, the site that you want to watch the video on still tries to run something, heed IE's warning and get away from that site. Who knows what they're trying to install after making you believe there's a video for you.

That's how viruses get installed - by luring people into believing a legitimate action is going on.

For software updates, ALWAYS use the site where the original software came from. What do i do when it says-internet explorer has blocked this site from using an Active X control?
When you go to a site that is blocked by firewall it gives you the message. Click where it tells you to and then click on details to read more information about the site you are trying to reach. If you know the site and trust the site then it is safe to download the Active X Control. If you are unsure then it is best to cancel the Active X Control.

Hope this helps.
