Yes, however I would recommend you don't remove IE, being as it is part of Windows, complications may arise.

Don't remove it. I recommend using Firefox, just set FF as your default browser when it asks you the first time it starts up.





If you're referring to IE6, to my knowledge its not in the Add or Remove Programs panel, as it is integrated into Windows. Only IE7 has the ability to be removed via the Add or Remove Programs panel. Many thing are dependent on IE.

you cannot remove IE from a windows computer. IE is so worked into the operating software that it is impossible. I hate the fact but its true. Your best bet is to download another browser and set it as the Default. Then just ignore IE.
CAUTION!!!! many things are dependent on ei such as windows update and links from other web sites,, if you are going to unistall ie make sure you have a nother browser set up and running,,,,, keep in mind that ie is a microsoft product and if it came preinstalled in your computer many of your windowes componetes are dependaent on it
