Please help me I have searched everywhere on the Internet and couldn't find a legitimate answer.How have governments tried to gain control of the uses and applications available on the Internet?
The USA monitors key words.
China and Russia monitors just about everything on there websites but have trouble monitoring sites from other countries.
I think the UK monitors key words.
Governments in poor countries don't monitor anything.How have governments tried to gain control of the uses and applications available on the Internet?

Surely you can't be serious.
They want control so they can tax the use of it. Some users are literally making 1000s of dollars a week buying and selling with no taxes. The Local Governments want to be able to keep track of these transactions to tax them to increase revenues. This alone could add 100s of millions of dollars to there Treasuries
