What do you think about the Bill that will give President ';Emergency'; Control of Internet?

In the bill they would empower the president to essentially turn off the Internet in the case of a 'cyber-emergency,' which they didn't define';.What do you think about the Bill that will give President ';Emergency'; Control of Internet?
Pretty crazy isn't it? I think it's rather sad that as Americans we've allowed our government to get so out of hand. If our people took time to learn from the people who created this country and apply their ideas to nowadays, there would be an enormous uprising.

An even scarier bill was passed in 2007 with no media coverage at all. Check out Executive Directive 51. Here is the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Security_and_Homeland_Security_Presidential_Directive

It states when the president considers a national emergency is underway, the top 3 branches (not your state representatives) have complete control over the government without oversight of congress (your state rep.s). It also doesn't state who can say when the emergency has ended. What do you think about the Bill that will give President ';Emergency'; Control of Internet?
It is called let save the United States Post Office from total collapse Bill....

If none of us had texting capabilities, or email what would we be left to have to use and once again get the lousy service and incompetent people behind the counter.

Kill the internet access, save the Post Office.....

';They're not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773 (excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency. It just proves that those of us who predicted it were right...he's trying to become a benevolent dictator. If a situation arises where he thinks his ability to ';rule'; will be impacted by the masses on the internet, he will use this bill to shut it down. He bulldozes his way through the house and the senate and gets what he wants. He's going to bankrupt this country and then blame it all on his predecessors saying, he was to late to stop it.
Jeremy W, Do you homework before you judge ones question. Links are provided above. Enjoy reading and maybe do some searching next time you think someone is BS.ing you
If that's for real, that is absolutely unacceptable.

It goes against our Constitutional rights because that detracts from freedom of speech, expression, the press, and numerous others.

Plus, it's not his to turn off.
the cyber emergency he is talking about is people telling the truth of what he is doing . just another way for him to control something. he may as well come out and say what he means because he isn;t fooling anyone.
Soon everyday will be considered an ';emergency,'; and the government will have complete control over the internet, which is exactly what it wants.
Well .....';I think'; it's called ....censorship ......just another device to control the masses and lead the sheep to slaughter ! .......

................. Vote Democrat/Learn Islam ..................
what is the number of that bill and who is the sponsor?
But Obama still wants to put our health records online?

That makes no sense. And I'd like to know what a ';cyber-emergency'; is too.
You just made that up. Fess up and apologize.
There is no such bill.
It would put us one step closer to a socialist state. No thanks!
