If you run Vista just add an account called kids or something and you can add parental controls. Similarly you can set up a kids account for xp and use yahoo parental control software found under ';my yahoo';How do I set up internet controls for my kid computer users?
There are lots of things you can do. The best thing would be to be right there when they use it. Unless you buy some program to monitor their use, the only way to safeguard would be to use set the filters and blockers and still they can find ways to get to things that are innocent enough like youtube.com which have some pretty nasty things on there and you dont even have to be looking for anything specific. Like maybe their checking out baseball, if they put the words in the search can sometimes result in bad things being shown so my kids do not go online without me being there just because there is so much filth out there.


So set your browser setting on high (strict) to block stuff out.
