and when i want to log on to the net it logs me on to different pages like ,if i click yahoo it takes me to 3 look search etc.
陌 have virus detector but it cant detect a virus.

Your computer is infected with spyware and your browser has been hijacked.
You need to install software like:
- Spybot Search and Destroy
- AdAware
- Hijaak This
After installation, restart the computer in safe mode and run these scanners one-at-a-time to clean up your PC.
Please note that spyware generally infect Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox is by and large immune from this problem.

Sounds like you have spyware on your machine. Reboot into safe mode with networking (press f8 when your computer boots up).
Download some anti-spyware programs and use them to scan and remove any spyware you have:

Yes, most of the Internet is controlled, monitored, and filtered at some level or another. Everyone who is anyone knows that we are all under some sort of watchful eye.
There are the 1% who really know how to get around all of the systems and blocks. Some do it for good and freedom, others are evil. The basic good versus evil philosophy.
I think, when all is said and done, the ';Internet'; will be an interesting Psychology and Sociology experiment gone bad.

My laptop has a virus and the only things it will bring up are; internet, run, search, control panel.?
my laptop has a virus and will only let me bring up select few. such as; internet, run, search engine, control panel, my network places, my computer, my music, my pictures, and my documents. l have many virus' in the past but i always just do system restore and then my computer works just fine. but now i cant even bring up system restore. all that comes up when i try to bring anything but the select few i listed is a black box and sometimes it says that there is not enough memory. but i have very much memory. and these boxes only stay up for about 2 seconds at the most. so please help! oh and just today its starting to not let me onto places that i go a lot. like facebook. and youtube. and stuff like that. it says restricted. and when i do ctrl+alt+del all that comes up is task manager has been disabled by your administrator. so please help! all i need to do is just bring system restore back up! i dont want to spend money on getting rid of any virus that is probably just fake. thank you:)My laptop has a virus and the only things it will bring up are; internet, run, search, control panel.?
